In this project I created three speculative high-tech products and created an ad campaign with video and photos for them. Parodying technoutopic discourses parroted by massive, exploitative tech companies, I aimed to explore the entaglements of desire, commodity, and dystopia. How do words, bodies, images, and the psyche intersect to construct specific technological advancements and the production of commodities?
This installation was part of the Automated Carnalities show at the List Art Building, Providence, and was also iterated in a reinvented configuration, involving sound and smell components.
